My Approach:
"The best way to treat obstacles is to use them as stepping stones. Laugh at them, tread on them, and let them lead you to something better." ~Enid Blyton
The first meeting is a diagnostic assessment that will help me begin to get to know you, your needs and craft an individualized approach...NOT a "one size fits all"!
As a Licensed Mental Health Professional, Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional and Yoga Instructor, my practice focuses heavily on integrating various psychotherapy interventions with what is generally considered "alternative” or “complimentary” interventions such as mindfulness, yoga & meditation. I focus on the whole person- body, mind & spirit- addressing multiple factors in an effort to optimize wellness. This will often include me sharing the knowledge I’ve gained through my integrative training, such as the relationship between nutrition & mental health for example, so that you may consult with your medical provider about potential dietary, supplement or activity changes.
I believe everyone has within them the tools needed to grow, heal & overcome obstacles. We'll work together to help you tap into your inner strength and move you from surviving, to thriving.
You can also expect to be challenged when necessary, to be supported, to have a voice in your care and to be celebrated for your individuality!
