What to expect:
The first meeting is a diagnostic assessment that will help me begin to get to know you, your needs and craft an individualized approach...NOT a "one size fits all"!
You can expect a holistic approach to your care. Essentially, integrative mental health care means addressing multiple factors that affect mental health such as medical, emotional, social, psychological, lifestyle and nutritional factors. Integrative care often involves combining traditional and “complimentary” or "alternative" services such as psychotherapy, health coaching, acupuncture, yoga, traditional medicine etc. to address the whole person, rather than just one aspect, in order to optimize wellness. As a Licensed Mental Health Professional, Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional and Yoga Instructor, my practice focuses heavily on integrating alternative and complimentary methods with traditional interventions to support wellness through assessment, psychoeducation, resources, therapeutic intervention and collaboration with, or referrals to, other providers as appropriate.
You can expect to be challenged when necessary, to be supported, to have a voice in your care and to be celebrated for your individuality!
